Awareness Through Advertising

Once in a great while, a company takes its message to the next level.  We are treated to a presentation of media unlike anything in its genre.  When a company chooses to step out of the cookie cutter template that so many business use, that is when art meets advertisement. Chipotle took that step and now we have one of the best marketing advertisements I have seen.






This video is a realist look at what other business do and how they treat their customers.  We see the harsh world of commercial restaurants, presented in an animation that softens the blow, without sugar coating the truth. The visual style is what really hooks us a viewers.  We see the childish scene are lured into a false sense of comfort and then we are shown what is behind the scenes.  We see, figuratively, how business is done and where things are horribly wrong.  We know that large companies can be cruel and money hungry, but sometimes the extent in which we are affected is lost.  This animation sums it all up for us, while showing what the alternative can be.  Chipotle has prided itself on using organic ingredients and making food that's good and good for you.  A healthy choice in a world of unhealthy choices.  They are not the only company doing this and global awareness of personal health is now a factor when choosing where consumers spend their dollars.  Chipotle helps you make that decision by separating themselves.  They bring these matters to light in a splendid artful world and even go the extra step by creating a phone app to adds entertainment to their client education.  This is a model that other business can learn from and help ad art to their message.
